Hi-Fi i Muzyka

However the real revelation of Audio Show 2012 occuired to be the other Polish company - Pancin Art Technology from Pruszków. It presented VZ1 speaker columns — three-way constructions with bass-reflex of non-classical shape. When I saw them, they immediately brought to my mind association with Nautilus B&W. However it was only delusion. Untipical, bullet-shape cases make impression of being made of composite, but in fact they were made of MDF. Finding a carpenter, who would decide to take on task of creating them lasted few months. So finally owners of the company decided to buy machines for woodworking and they produce them on their own. In the production process there is no place for compromise. To produce VZ1 they use Scan-Speak Illuminator series. Bases are cut out of solid aluminum slice and waste which is produced during the whole process is used by nearby scrap-yard. Extemal crossover has been closed in pretty big barrel, which makes the speaker look even more intriguing. VZ1 cost quite a lot, that's a fact, but for $100 000 you can have one of the most original speakers available on Polish market. Intriguing appearance of the speakers provoked participants of presentation to torture them with the most strange recordings and test signals. Speakers from Pruszków weren't afraid of any repertoire or sound volume. Transition from delicate pianissimo to roar of F16 made then less trouble than writing these words made to me. I'm full of praise and I'm waiting for models being affordable for wider group of audiophiles. I am confident about the sound effect
